We stopped here on our trip around the Cabot Trail - kids (14 & 12) were hungry so we popped in on a whim.

We were glad we did; food was excellent, homemade, and very reasonably priced.

My son had a crazy huge burger that came topped with bacon, mozza sticks and onion rings, and I had the seafood chowder which was excellent!

Waitress was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

Soo glad we stopped here for lunch!!!...After 4 days of traveling the valley and ups and downs of food in restaurants....craving for "a home cooked meal"...well, Angie"s was the spot!!!...Let me first say...what a lovely....spotlessly clean restaurant...roomy...not cramped on top of each other...and a beautiful fresh cut carnation at each table....A nice touch!!!...so fresh in fact...you had to touch it to see if real!!!...This was caught by the watchful eye of our first encounter with Angie...who piped up...Yes...it's real!!!...lol...CAUGHT!!!...Well, I can only say...I hope this restaurant appreciates this delightful humorous server because Angie's has an ace in their pocket with this lovely lady!!!...This woman NEVER stops...she made sure we had the best service ever...knew the menu to a T...made great suggestions...and forgot nothing!!!!...We laughed the whole time...she treated us like the regular locals...(and there were many!!!)...we felt like we came here every day...and she treated us as such...WHAT A DELIGHT!!!...Now, the food!!...I was craving a hot turkey sandwich with home cut fries...well...the best I have ever tasted!!!...right down to open faced on whole wheat bread!!!...EXCELLENY TURKEY GRAVY by the way...just like home!!! My husband had the fish cakes which he is still raving about...and Angie made sure he received REAL vinegar....not malt!!!...lol...Seriously travellers...donot pass the restaurant...it was our"homemade" meal of our 4 day trip!!! Oh....and Angie...it is totally your fault for my weight gain...the home made strawberry/rhubarb pie WAS just like Mom's....right down to the generous scoop of ice-cream...(totally your fault!!!)...STOP IN FOLKS....and say hi to Angie from two Cape Bretoners.....Basil & Brenda...we WILL be back!!!

We all ordered fish and chips 2 piece was more then I could eat. Fish was lightly battered and very fresh. We all have eaten a lot of fish and chips before this is now my number 1 . Must go there for lunch or supper.

Good, standard fare, home-type cooking. Like most places, prices have climbed, staff seem to be under a lot of stress and this restaurant suffers from the changed atmosphere caused by Covid. I assume it was due to the extra pressure our server asked where I wanted the gravy on my Hamburger Steak, then another server brought it without any gravy and trotter right off. I didn’t ask for any after that. While we were eathing the original server asked me if I would like my coffee topped up, I said yes please. She walked by five times and never did bring the coffee! Details?

THIS restaurant never ceases to amaze us. We've now gotten into the habit of driving all the way from Halifax to Middleton, just for an excuse to have lunch here.

There is NOTHING negative about this restaurant. ! the food is GREAT, the service is EXECLLENT and pricing very 'down-to-earth'. Knowing we will receive great service, great food and will not be taken to the cleaners in the process - make s the long drive from Halifax worth the effort.
There are A LOT of restaurants all over Atlantic Canada that aught to send their staff and owners here to see how it aught to be done.
We cannot say enogh good things about Angie's. ! LOVE it.
