What a find! After a long hard day watching the Tour, we chanced on The Hotel Saint Pierre, and although we were only looking for a bar, the menu looked so good we decided to stay to eat. The restaurant, while rustic, was charming and comfortable, and echoing earlier comments, the staff were excellent and the food was reasonably priced. The ambience was great in spite of the majority of diners being from England on the evening we were there.
The highest accolade however, must go to the le menu (three courses for €12.95), brilliant value for money and a main course of local rabbit in a mustard sauce - superb! All rounded off with the local Calvados.
Please note that we didn't stay in the hotel, this is a review for the restaurant only.

Six out of eleven of us stayed on the fourth night of our group cycling (rest were in Le Fruitier). Rather strange place. Said full on the door but very few people seemed to be staying. Two of our couples each had a quad room on fourth (?) floor which were two adjoining rooms. My wife and I should also have had quad room but got a very sparsely furnished triple room at the back of the hotel. Not very comfortable at all but we were charged €20 less than expected. Breakfast was mediocre especially the coffee from the urn. Quite the poorest accommodation of the seven hotels we stayed in.

The four of us had a good meal in the restaurant. Not exceptional in any way but it certainly was value for money. We have to mention that 4'6" waitress and would like to suggest to make sure she never leaves. She's a star. Friendly, courteous, efficient, charming, you name it. Ambience quiet and good for our business meeting. Steak cooked right and good quality.

The location couldn't be better.Right in the centre of the town.In England this would be called a coaching Inn as it was divided by a small arched entrance through which you could park.On one side was the main building and the other newly renovated rooms ,which were spectacular in design.Apart from the main restaurant which was very smart, the remainder was rather average,The evening meal wasn't terrible ,but it wasn't anything special either. We didn't chance the breakfast, which again looked ok.I would neither recommend or condemn. There were certainly plenty of good things to enjoy
