the street the hotel is located is very noisy plus the hotel rented its courtyard to a restaurant which plays very loud music till 1am on weekends. So there is no chance that you could sleep before 1.

Moreover, at our last night, when the music did not stop after 1 am weekday, - I thought the cafe next door was playing the music- I walked down to lobby to see what was happening and I was shocked when I realized the reason I could not sleep. Apparently, the hotel employee was listening to music by himself at very very high volume!!! When I got really angry, what he said was I am legally allowed to play music till 3 am - which was not true. I strongly do not recommend this hotel since even the employees of the hotel do not respect its clients.

The hotel did not have hot water for a day and I believe this is not an acceptable situation for a hotel this expensive.

TashMahal used to be a good hotel however eith the recent popularization of the Hacı Memiş district near Alaçatı, this hotel is now in a very noisy district. We had noise complaints (after midnight, as late as 3 am) all three nights that we stayed. No hotel staff is around afterhours..

Breakfast was included in our reservation, but drinking water at breakfast is charged as extra, which is unacceptable at a summer destination.

Also, we did not have any hot water for 24h.. So overall disappointing experience. The only positive was the person at the front desk who tried to be helpful. She made a discount on our rate due to the multiple complaints that we had.

Will not go back. Best to look for hotel away from Hacı Memiş / Alaçatı area if you want a good night's sleep.

Alacati was our first destination in Turkey. A vibrant historical town which is bursting with Turkish visitors. Tashmahal Otel, was like an oasis inside the town. Very generous sized and well laid out room overhanging the walkway below. Rosa and her small team, including her niece, made us feel most welcome. But without doubt the highlight was breakfast in the shaded courtyard. We spent 5 weeks away, and the 3 breakfast we had at Tashmahal were the best of the trip. Tastiest tomatoes and cucumbers ever, and jams full of full fruits.

Warm welcome, very tasty breakfast, very central location...

Nice/old/antique decoration.. Completely different size and decorated rooms. It is a friendly boutique hotel.

Try their garden both for breakfast and dinner.

Strongly recommended

Alacati is a dream destination, and this hotel makes it even more special. Ruhsar and the rest of the staff are warm and hospitable, and the place is very tastefully designed, making it opulent and homely at the same time- a rare combination indeed!

The breakfast spread is lavish and sumptuous, served in the garden, with soulful music to match, and one could easily spend hours over a slow brunch and a couple of books. Evenings are for endless cups of tea, freshly baked cookies from next door and stimulating conversations with Ruhsar, and of course long walks in the charming village.

I hope to be in Alacati again some day, and there's no doubt I would choose to stay in my Tashmahal......
