Very good lunch with a definate bend to the hunter style food. Everything is homemade by Mama, we saw her in the kitchen. very nice dining room with nice windows overlooking garden and a warm atmosphere. it wasnt very busy at lunch, but was still cozy and we had excellent service.

Tucked down a side street, this restaurant opens up out back with views across to the medieval village. A huge variety of pizzas and classic italian fare kept our large party happy. They also do takeaway pizzas.

Great location, off the beat and path. Pizza was delicious and good house wine. Service was good although no one speaks English at all but we managed :) The décor is out of date and there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms.

Had a simple lunch here after a visit to the nearby Peony Garden. There is a small area with tables near the entrance, but inside the restaurant it was cool, with windows open and a stunning view of the city walls on one side and restaurant gardens on the other. Service was efficient and friendly. The antipasto La Lanterna is an ample portion, with bruschetta, local cheese and cold meats with a few unusual touches. A tasty risotto with vongole and a glass of house wine was perfect for a warm day in early summer. Too hot to explore Vitorchiano, so will be back here another day!

We had a family dinner in this restaurant which has a fine view of the medieval wall which protects the ancient centre of Vitorchiano, the old part which is surrounded on three sides by gorges. The food was very good and reasonable value, and the service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant was clearly popular with locals (it being a Friday evening). Trivial points: football fans will enjoy spotting the restaurateur and his father (both Napoli fans as it happens) photographed in the summer of 1984 at the restaurant with Napoli's new signing from Barcelona, Diego Maradona (Napoli staying in the area for a pre-season camp); and the one thing I would question about the restaurant was a large art work in one corner of an elderly man wearing shorts(?), which was somewhat out of place.
