We booked 6 nights and we loved it. The owners were really lovely, so helpful and welcoming. Rooms are simple and comfortable, gas heating and shared bathrooms with onsen (I always had the bathroom to myself). No ensuite rooms. There is a drying room downstairs, drink machines inc beer, coin washing machines ¥200 per wash and coin dryers. Good filling breakfasts and an awesome ramen shop next door. So close to everything. Make sure you use Seico mart down the road for quick meals as they are a local chain and use local products. Will definitely be back.

I enjoyed my winter vacation here in March this year. This was my first time to visit Niseko and I stayed there. Even the facilities there were limited and some of them needed to be shared. The overall service was nice and staff was good. Of course, the price here was excellent for travellors with limited budget. I would like to recommand it to others.

Perfect location (a few minutes walk from Grand Hirafu Welcome Centre, the chair-lift and the restaurants and bars).
Quiet, clean and the owners are lovely and welcoming. Plus the onsen is a wonderful way to unwind after a day on the slopes.
Highly recommended!

3 mates , 2 weeks, 1 ski resort. We recently had to make a last minute resort change to our ski holiday. We were scrambling to get into anything not too expensive at last minute. Contacted Pension Berg direct and all they had available was one Japanese style room (that's 3 futons on the floor), and shared toilet facilities (yup thats a communal bathroom). Me and my mates have not been students in a loooong times, and weren't that keen on something this basic, but with very limited options, we decided to bite the bullet and take the plunge! ... 3 blokes on an adventure (perhaps reliving our younger years). Well we had a blast. The location is simply top-notch - literally across the road form ski-lift. right amongst all restaurants and bars, western breakfast included, big dry room, inhouse Onsen (really great at end of full day on slopes) and simply terrific hospitable hosts. What a find! If you dont mind missing the luxuries in life then give it a go. Sometimes simpler is better.

Room tip: communal bathroom are all downstairs - along with some rooms. Views obviously upstairs (but then you're trekking up and down for bathroom.

The staff are nice and helpful speak great English compared to many other places in Japan.
we stayed in a western style room which was nice and roomy.
Breakfast every day has great variation, so you don't get the same thing everyday.

The staff is so kind, they sometimes offer to drive you if you have a lot of luggage when you leave Niseko by bus.

Great location very close to the lifts and restaurants - we never had to go far for skiing or eating :)
