The perfect ski holiday solution

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Mar 2024
The Maples has been a great discovery after few years in different hotels: this service apartment solution is just perfect for a ski holiday with family giving us more space greatly decorated and flexibility having a nice kitchen and washing / drying machine. The location is amazing directly on slopes and near the shopping area. Special thank you to the staff , Katie, Yuri, Sunday, and Joanne, all very nice and helpful! See you next year... booked already!

The Maples was a great choice, studio room was vey spacious with all the amenities needed and plenty of space to relax in between ski sessions. Ski lockers and run 5m from the back door was truly ski in/out. Centrally located in upper Harifu. Will definitely be back

The Maples at Niseko is a superbly run hotel. It’s conveniently located and easy to walk to the gondola/ski lessons/supermarket/cafe and restaurants. In addition they offer a free service to drop and pick up so we never had to walk with our ski gear or of the weather was very cold! Staff is very friendly and go the extra mile to help. The place is run very efficiently and adds it a fun and relaxing holiday. It’s a ski in/ski out facility too. The concierge desk is very helpful with information and bookings and helped with all our requests. Rooms are tidy and well maintained. Will definitely return!

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed, while traveling. The front desk staff and concierge were excellent with assisting and guiding us through our stay in niseko. A big shoutout to Doris and Yuri for their patience and support. This hotel is very convenient for people who love skiing as the mountain was right behind the hotel. There are also amazing eateries nearby.

Room tip: There are some pathways that are slippery. Be extra careful when you walk and wear spike shoes to avoid any serious injuries.

I spent a lot of time researching places and listening to advice from friends about where to stay in Niseko, and am so glad we chose the Maples. The location is terrific, right on the family run, and an easy walk to the main village intersection/shops but not right on the main town road. Booking with Nisade made everything very easy - airport transfers, ski hire (you can return them in the lobby which was so much better than trekking back to the store). Chose a 3 bedroom apartment with a street view, which cost less than a ski run view, and was glad we had that side of the building as watching the street life was interesting. It had a beautiful view of Mt Yotei, and the cushioned platform sitting area next to the windows was a big hit with everyone. The apartment was completely quiet which was a huge plus. There is no onsen, but most hotel onsens seem to be tiny anyway, whereas the hotel right next door has a very large one with multiple pools including one that is outside (albeit under a balcony) for Y2000 that we used most nights. Super happy with our stay.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Maples in Niseko, despite a general rule to always stay or try somewhere different. It was definitely more popular this time around, and it's obvious why - optimum location (ski in ski out), clean amenities, modern fittings, and above all else very friendly and helpful staff. Particular note to concierge, Katie Clubb, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our trip as good as it was- thank you. There are other elements - good relations to the Rhythm, Snowboard / ski lessons can be taken just outside on the Family Run; the restaurants downstairs and upstairs (they even remembered our names!). Pricing is as expected for the region and times visited, but very reasonable. Strongly recommended

Room tip: You need to book early for the snow season, as it gets snapped up quick.
