Place yourself in the chef's capable hands. Your only decisions should be 3 or 5 course (we found 3 was plenty) and what wine you would like.

The chef will adjust to any food allergies you have but unless there is a health reason just roll with it. Everything will be super fresh from what caught the chef's fancy that day, but expect yumminess from the bay to be featured prominently.

It's not a guarantee but if you are lucky you might get some the best tres leches cake.

Limited seating so be sure to get a reservation.

Casianos is not very well known even among locals, they do not advertise, work mostly on high end catering, so the restaurant is usually not busy at all. The setting and location are nothing special, but the quality of the food, the presentation and the service make all the difference. It is important to make reservations by 1pm the day of the dinner or the previous day as the chefs will buy fresh foods according to the reservations they have. Once seated, I stated my dislikes and the chef prepared a great dinner. I had the 3 course dinner, which was really a 5 course dinner counting the appetizer and dessert. My husband had the 5 curse dinner (really seven courses). All courses were timely, beautifully presented and delicious. The final bill with a bottle of wine and 2 bottles of water plus tip came out to MX$3,400, not cheap but worth every penny!

The idea of no menu may deter certain people, but I absolutely loved not having to make any choices. Being surprised is half the fun. The meal is a lot of food. A three course meal is really more like five-- they don't include the salad or dessert as one of the three courses. We were the only table in the restaurant. Service was perfect. Very attentive without being over bearing or awkward. The food is off the charts. Incredibly fresh. You are able to try a variety of preparations and flavors all in one course because it is served tapas style. For example, our first course (after an amazing heirloom tomato salad) was a trio of seafood dishes, all prepared differently. You will not be disappointed if you go to Casianos! Can't wait to go back!

Location is not special however EVERYTHING else is! No menu, our 3 course dinner was designed by the Chef from purchases of the day's fresh market selections. The presentation is as good as the food and the limited seating makes you feel quite special....not to mention the excellent service. Just let the staff know what your tastes are and leave the creation to the Chef, you won't be disappointed! Casianos can compete with any fine restaurant in the Bahia. Reservations are a must.

Loved this concept. 3 and 5 course meal. All fresh, from whatever they buy at market. Great chef! even accommodated our party of 8 with one who does not eat seafood.
