This is a huge, mostly unexplored Roman military camp that has been added to touristic map of Croatia just recently. It consists of Roman amphiteatre, Roman castrum and small, but really nice museum that holds the collection of artifacts that have been and are still being discovered there.
This site is a part of Croatian National Park Krka, so you have to pay fee to enter the complex (it varies, from $10 - $20 - depending on which sites of the park you want to see, but it is definitely worthed).
The camp was home of fourth legion, Flavia Felix... and to make it more interesting that is the very legion that Russel Crowe is mentioning in the movie Gladiator, where he says that he was the general of the Felix legions :)
The nice thing about this place is that each year you come, you will see new things as the archeaeologist are working there still and it is a live site.
Amazing! Must see for everyone that likes Roman empire, Roman culture and before all Roman military.
