Popped in a couple of times while staying in the local YHA. Both times friendly staff, good drinks, TV was on but at a volume where it could be heard but didn't disturb people chatting while eating and drinking. Didn't eat here but food we saw being served to other customers looked and smelled really good.

After walking past the pub at 5.55 and seeing a sign on the door stating it would open at 6 we decided to hang around outside. Some ladies were already outside sat on a bench, who told us there was a meeting going on and she would open once that had finished. We spoke with these ladies and found out they were staff and were having to wait outside in the cold and wind.
Fair enough we thought, nice pleasant conversation with the local ladies ensued.
Two gentlemen left the pub at 6.10 and said the meeting was over so we walked in - to be told to get out by the landlady as her staff had not yet arrived....they were hot on our heels after doing the polite thing and letting us the potential paying customer into the warm first.
When we said the staff were behind us she huffed and said she 'supposed' we could come in.
At which point we turned around and left.

Now I do not run a pub but.....
She was the landlady could she have not got us a drink whilst her staff walked through the door?
Or even welcomed us in out of the cold apologised for the wait and said the bar staff would be with us shortly?

Sorry but will not visit this pub will stick with the Railway which we had a warm welcome both times we visited and nice talks with the landlord and the Friendship which is small and quirky but the landlord was pleasant.

Stunning meal. All freshly cooked. Excellent portions. In a cosy comfy surrounding with a roaring log fire. Wide range of beers. Great prices.

after a hectic day getting the car ready at the tyre place we went to Borth for a weekend away for my Birthday. We landed in Borth about 5pm and headed to Ynslas beach so Benson could stretch his legs. Once done we headed to the Victoria Inn on Borth high street where we were lucky to catch the first food day of the season. That staff were lovely and helpfull and the food and drinks were ace. I went for a portion of battered cod about tuw soze of a small whale it was lovely and the beer went down well. Great service and good grub what more can you ask for?

Arrived at 1:30 in Feb. Very quiet. Only Sunday Roasts on offer but that was what we all wanted. 4aduilts 3 kids. Roast dinner was fab. Very tender beef and great Lamb rump. All veg was delicious especially roasties and mash. Side order of cauliflower cheese.
Homemade Yorkshire and delicious cranberry stuffing. Couldn't fault any of it. Great service too. Kids meals came in at £5.50 including an ice cream. Amazing value! Would go back.
