Was reccommended this restaurant for its Osso bucco, however, it wasn't on the menu at that time. We decided on the rabbit tagliatelle to start, oh my gosh, it was full of flavour, Devine. Followed by chargrilled chicken, which was red hot, and delicious.
Can't wait to return for the osso bucco!

We were on our way from Volterra to Certaldo when we saw this restaurant by the side of the road. We ordered from the menu del giorno. Pasta, secondi and contorni , water and wine. Very good food. The price 11 euros per person. The service is with a smile. What we saw, only locals where here. Would love to go here for dinner.

Boscotondo was recomended for their Florentine steak which is apparently raised on a farm nearby. We were not dissapointed. The waiter also recommended a very good Brunello di Montalcino to accompany it. Sorry I didn't take photos. You have to go and experience it yourself.
We returned a few days later for pizza from the wood fired oven which was also exceptional and reasonably priced. This is a popular place for locals and their families and much of the ingredients seem to be locally sourced. The waiters and cooks were very friendly and happy to help as we worked our way through the menus. Luckily their English was far better than our Italian.
