The room is a bit outdated but clean. the cottages don't have an intercom, so if you need anything from the front desk you have to go out of your room and walk there. the buffet breakfast was so-so, the kitchen staff could've done better. the buffet breakfast had limited choices; eggs, hotdog, mixed vegetables, bread/rice and the orange juice served was powdered juice. with the price you pay a glass of fresh orange juice isn't too much to ask.

Room Tip: choose a cottage room near the front desk.

We book this hotel for a 3 day package. They pick up us in time at the airport. The tour was great and the driver very friendly. Just be shure to book in advance all the nights that you want to spend there because is a very busy "resort". As in all Philippines the name Resort is just a matter of name but do not give you what the name is spected. So no hesitate your self specting a resort service. But the service was ok, a 5 star location paying 2 stars service. Worth the money.

Room Tip: Book the standard room near the pool is ok. Avoid the rooms near the beach, the people in Philippines enjoy the early beach baths, so there is action at 5AM.

Pros:
1. Executive Double Room is spacious
2. Beachfront; water is clean and clear
3. Walking distance to Bohol Beach Club
4. Acoustic Nights during dinner
5. Anticipated Mass on Saturday nights

Cons:
1. Reservation staff do not answers calls on their mobile phone (I called them 3 times to tell them we will check in late, but they never answered)
2. You need to pay for everything (They charge us P50 for boiling water to sterilize my son's feeding bottles)
3. Food is expensive (1 Plain Rice costs P40; 1 Ripe Mango costs P70)
4. Staff at reception was not courteous, welcoming, and accommodating)
5. A/C was situated beside the door, far away from the bed (My son was sweating while sleeping!)
6. No complimentary water, coffee and tea; therefore, no electric teapot in the room (I stayed at cheaper BnBs with all this included!)
7. No slippers provided
8. Water from the shower tasted salty
9. Huge rodent crawling beside the pool!
10. Buffet breakfast was mediocre: rice, egg, tapa/hotdog/pork, bread/jam, watermelon, juice/coffee

If not for its nearness to Bohol Beach Club, we would not have stayed here. When I go back to Bohol, i'd rather stay at BBC than Dumuluan.

Book at your own risk.

It's no longer a secret that when you visit a place it always comes with money you have in your pocket... this story started with a wonderful day tour we had in the city and tourist spots in bohol... I may say that I'm kinda amaze of how really beautiful Philippine is.. also thankful that the tour guide/driver we had contacted is so kind enough to give us all the time in the world to visit almost 10-spots in just a day without makin' us in a hurry... I'm with my officemates and their families during this joy ride of my life... we finish the tour at around 6pm. the kids felt so tired already so, we decided to checked in at Dumaluan Resort... fascinated though of the beach front same to the hotel.. though they're fully booked that time so we manage to stay in their kubos with a very reasonable price... the problem there is we have to pay for everything we asked for, just like for example; a simple charging of cellphone that will cost you 50.00, laptop for 100.00 and so on...

Our entire trip went well.. and hopefully be back again someday...

good thing about this:
- accessible to the beach. the resort is located along the shore and have spectacular view especially mornings.
- rooms are clean.
- wifi is available but only inside the restaurant.

bad thing about this:
- no welcome drinks or greetings upon arrival.
- food is good but not exceptional
- pricey, not worth the money you pay. a small bottled water cost 33PHP when you can buy the largest one for 30PHP at the nearby resort. a kilo of crab cost 1000PHP/kilo while in Manila it only cost 350PHP/kilo.
- customer service is awful. check in time is 2PM but our room is not yet ready at 3PM. you explicitly need to request for towels, soap, toothpaste/toothbrush and extra beddings a couple of times before they gave it to you. the restaurant has service charge and if you forgot to get your change, they will still take it as a tip.
- questionable bill. when we compared our initial and final bill, there is a discrepancy of around 7000PHP. you will also notice some guests who are checking out having many questions about how they come up with the amount. the resort has a computer and accepts credit card payments but they will give you a hand-written statement.
- no first aid kit or trained personnel in case of sickness or emergency. we paid 1800PHP to rent their vehicle just to bring our friend to a hospital. it only took less than 3 hours and the vehicle was parked most of the time.
- breakfast buffet is worst. since this is an out-of-town trip, you will be expecting local food served during breakfast. what we got is egg, veggies and hotdogs/fish/ground pork which are typical in Manila.
- outsiders can freely roam inside the resort, security is not that tight.
- noisy during the night. if you are looking for relaxation, book for another resort.

suggestion to anyone staying here:
- dont avail the package bohol trip!
- pay only for the accommodation excluding breakfast buffet and transportation.
- eat at the nearby resort. the food is more tastier and cheaper.
- rent another van to get you to and from airport.
- get a separate bohol trip if you want one, it will be much cheaper and you can choose only the interesting destination you want. it will also not charge you for extra hour that might incur in case your group overstayed.
- prepare first aid kits and medicines. hospital charges about 3000PHP and the doctors are not reliable. transportation cost about 1800PHP for a 3 hour standby.
