Better late than never!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Amarela Resort for 3 nights in conjunction with our wedding in October, 2017. We had most of our guests staying at the resort with us and we were all carefully looked after by the staff, leading to a very personal and intimate environment.

The day before the wedding, we welcomed most of our international guests at Amarela for food and drinks by the pool. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout – especially in the evening when they served a cake to celebrate my father’s 70th birthday!

The next day, we held our reception at Amarela following our wedding at a nearby church. Unfortunately, it was raining when we left the church – but Amarela staff were ready to receive us armed with umbrellas for almost all our guests! The cocktail hour was held in their beautiful poolside gallery with delicious appetisers and finger food, keeping our guests happy despite the rain. The guests then moved down to the beach level, where dinner tables were carefully arranged and decorated underneath a beautiful canopy that cast a warm glow (and kept everyone dry). Dinner was amazing, and multiple guests commented on how beautiful the arrangements were. We got married in the Philippines because that’s where my wife and her family are from – but we also wanted an opportunity to share how beautiful the Philippines and its people are. Amarela definitely helped in that regard!

The following day one of my groomsmen got in a moped accident 10 mins away from the hotel, and Amarela had one of their staff drive me there immediately to follow him to the hospital. They kept my wife informed throughout. Aside from being extremely professional throughout our stay, Amarela’s staff was also incredibly warm and their assistance in this matter was very touching.

Our stay at Amarela was magical. The hotel, the staff, the food, the reception, the attention to detail – all were impeccable. We can’t compliment Nadine and her staff enough, and hope to visit that resort again in the near future! Thanks again for being part of our special day!

Kind Regards – Kat & Marco

Room Tip: For couples - the Bohol House is separate from the other building and has a private pool.

Stayed here for two nights and it could def have been longer! Awesomly quiet and yet clean part of the beach - you can see it is well mantained by the staff. Everyone is very focused on customer attention and the area of the hotel is kept in good shape. They also rent kayaks and offer massages. Breakfast included is a buffet with a good variety.
I can definitely recommend staying here.

We didn’t had the opportunity to stay at Amarela although we went there for dinner and we loved everything. Food and service both very nice at a very good price. We recommend. Was a very nice experience.

We stayed here for just one night but were very happy with our choice. The location is beautiful and tucked away. We highly recommend the restaurant. It was the best food we had on our trip. The staff was very kind and went out of their way to help us.
