We had high expectations of a week at The Dipper and our stay was even better than we had hoped for. A warm welcome from Roland when we arrived. The Dipper is very well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. It is so restful there and there is plenty of wildlife around just outside the windows to keep guests amused. The views were just entrancing. Highly recommended.

Very good accommodation with all (all) the facilities one requires for a self-catering holiday. We spent our four day break virtually confined to the boathouse because of the weather conditions I.e gales, snow, sleet, etc. Consequently we couldn't take advantage of sitting on the verandah with a sundowner! However, we did have the benefit of enjoying a glass of wine in front of the log fire (we used all the logs!).......Loch Tay was like a millpond the morning we left!

This was our second stay, last time was in Sky Cottage which we thought was brilliant. For us Otter is even better as it sits on the shore of Loch Tay and is totally secluded. If it's peace and quiet, total seclusion and beautiful views you're after then this is the place. I honestly can't fault it and it really feels like home thanks to all the special touches, and attention to to detail, Penny has made. You park your car when you arrive and are given a 4x4 to drive down the hill to Otter - a brilliant experience. The place is teaming with wildlife and we were greeted by a family of ducks when we reached Otter. If you fill the hanging bird feeder with nuts you will be treated to visits from not only small birds but red squirrels. We also saw large birds of prey in the sky on several occasions. It was great just to sit on the large balcony with a beer or a glass of wine and take in the views.

Room Tip: The views are breath taking.

What an amazing location. I thought our bath had a great view over fields, but the view here out over the loch is perfect. The boathouse is beautifully appointed with everything you could want for a relaxing few days plus more. It's a great location for walking and cycling and I even managed a short but freezing dip in the loch. Would love to come back in better weather and make use of the picnic shed or have a bonfire on the beach.

We spent 3 nights at Dipper boathouse. The views were amazing. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and all the little extras made it extra special. We enjoyed watching the red squirrels, woodpecker, blue tits, great tits and buzzard. We hope to return again next year.
