Stayed as part of a big wedding party which took over virtually every room in the Hotel. A few of us arrived a few days before the wedding and the property had just changed owners. The previous owners must have stopped cleaning the rooms months before as every surface was covered in thick dust and when we put our empty luggage on top of the wardrobes the was a "volcanic eruption" of dust. The poor lady that had responsibility for cooking and preparing the breakfast also had to clean the hotel rooms along with the bar and restaurant every day. Rest of hotel was run by young people who with exception of Melissa where fairly slow to react to the sudden influx of guests. Breakfast was good as there was always a great selection of food. Had to ask to have towels changed each day but realised that getting a vacuum ran over the floor of the rooms was a no-no. Bathrooms where never cleaned so just used previous days towels to wipe down.
Close to a pretty church and shopping area so noise is a constant from about 4.30am everyday except Sunday when its only the constant chiming of the Church bells that wake you and not the delivery vehicles and commuter traffic. Got to have windows open as no air conditioning.
Had a nice meal in the restaurant but the bill was a bit of a mix up with some of us nearly paying twice due to poor recording of orders.
Hotel has a terrace out front and an ice cream counter so its a good place to sit and watch the world go by.
No attached parking so you have to use public parking nearby. Market opposite hotel Tuesdays and Saturdays with some nice stalls.
Would not recommend to anyone in a wheelchair as there are stairs everywhere even though there is a lift. Poor internet and not even 3G signal in town.
