The place is the most exquisite you will find in the entire area. The way the owners managed to make it unique is astonishing. And they did so while respecting the architectural style and history of the region (I'm into this kind of things). The room was perfect and Betta is one of the most caring persons I've ever met, maybe too much if I may. Damn, even their dogs are cool, although they are in a separate area.
On top of that they know very well the surroundings and can be very helpful in suggesting ways to explore the nearby mountains, which is the main reason I often come in this part of Italy.
Good luck with everything, and count me as a returner from now on.

We were a party of 12 and used many of the rooms for our stay. The views across the valley are superb and combined with basking in the sun beside the pool makes for and idyllic stay. The embroidered Bed linen which was changed Mid week added to the charm.
Breakfast choices with so much chocolate muffins and cakes is good but some rolls and savoury items would just be the finishing touches.
Local restaurants in San Donato over a range of choices. For those wanting a challenge the walk is only about 20 minutes uphill but at night take a torch as it is a small country lane.
Overall a very pleasant stay.

Really loved this place! Very nice bed and breakfast very very close to the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo! Nice place to stay and I really enjoyed the good service and kindness from the hosts! Nice comfy apartments. Breakfast is reasonable for it's price. Had a great stay over here! Thanks!

Excellent 'B&B'. Better facilities than many local hotels mixed with the freedom of self catering.

Very good set up - you have your own apartment with kitchen and dining area, living area with sofa, chairs and coffee table and bedroom/s and bathroom. All beautifully furnished in a rustic style. There is a patio with table and chairs and a Weber BBQ and also a beautiful swimming pool with a spectacular view over the whole valley. As there are only 7 apartments it never gets crowded.

Maria Elisabetta and her family are very welcoming, very helpful and very discreet. We have stayed with them several times now and it is like returning to old friends.

This is a beautiful, undiscovered part of Italy with very few tourists and I would highly recommend il Bruco to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.

We arrived at Il Bruco B&B late september. Fortunately the beautiful and big swimming pool overlooking the valley was still open ( many swimming pools in the area close in september). So we took a swim in those wonderful transparent waters. Our apartment had a perfectly equipped kitchenette and a living room, a room and a bathroom. The furniture was absolutely enchanting the old country style you really expect to find in such a place. The owner Maria and her daughter Alessandra were always available for a chat or to give us suggestions on the many things to do in the area. Finally let me tell you about the breakfast. First I think it's great because it was brought to our room so you can have breakfast whenever you wish. We had our own coffee machine and juices and goodies and cakes and much more than we could have ever eaten. We stayed for 5 days but it could have been much more. I am sure we will be back soon! Thank you Maria and Alessandra.

Room tip: We had the apartment called Il Pero and it was great but I did sneak in a few others and thought they were just as great!
