Strolling through town we accidently found this restaurant. The outside terrace was allready occupied, we were seated inside. Very friendly waiters, great food especially the combination of antipasti. Not the standard Tuscan restaurant and menu. Highly recommended.

It took me a while but I really wanted to comment on the wonderful experience we had at the restaurant. We were visiting the area as a part of npr tour in the fall of 2012. After a day at the hot springs we wondered into the restaurant without a reservation. Instead of being turned away we were offered to stay at the bar to have a few complimentary drinks. We had few limoncellos and were sited in about 30-45 min or so. The food was beyond reproach. The most memorable was stake florentine. I would come back just for that! However what has really raised the bar for the Italian hospitality in general and for the restaurant owner specifically was that when the time came to go back to the country villa we were staying at and there was no taxi in site (it takes couple of hours for taxi to get there we were told) the owner drove us there on his brand new BMW suv! In the middle of the night! On a bit up dirt road!

Elegant, inventive and always excellent food in a beautiful ambiance. Friendly staff who will remember you from visit to visit! The restaurant is not too far from where I live and I have never been disappointed. And, its location in the center of the old city is peaceful and so typical Tuscan. Highly recommended!

Spent last night with the whole family. The place came recommended by the B&B owner, with the comment "slightly pricey, but worth every penny"
I would agree with an addition: the atmosphere isn't quite there...but the food! Gosh! Really a five star!
Fresh homemade Tagliatelle with zucchini (a little too much garlic but soooo perfect) or fresh tomato sauce, perfectly fried zucchini flowers, fresh Parma ham hand sliced, a perfectly "al dente" risotto, meat that melts at every bite...,and what about the Mascarpone mousse with peaches....
Unbelievably tasty and simple, with a good choice of wines
The service, really friendly and helpful, made our family dinner just perfect. We'll be back. Soon.

We had a nice dinner here. We enjoyed the antipasti mix( a bit of all antipasti) and we also enjoyed the Peposo chianina (veal cooked in wine). Goes very well with potatoes and with a glass of chianti wine. Service is very good and friendly. Not the cheapest place in the area, but the food is excellent.
