Amazing little micro style pub/bar in a very ancient tower/ fortress that was built to protect the church. Reason for giving only 4 stars was poor choice of beer on drought just 2 when we visited, also not enough cans/bottles. When we enquired we were told they were slowly ramping up after lockdown. I would imagine with folk music being played at this magical venue on their folk nights it would be a great atmosphere.

Popped in here for a couple today as we had just arrived for a couple of days.was met by Paula who patiently waited while we did the track / trace on our phone, we chose to sit upstairs and ordered our beer as we passed the bar..it's a fabulously authentic ancient tower. Tables were spaced out and we luckily had the high back wooden chairs, the toilet was downstairs past the bar was clean and tidy...we tried a couple of pints of a cask lemon pale ale it was lush. It did get a bit chilly and we had a meal booked so had to go. I bet it's fabulous when the fire is lit and a few bodies in ( when we can) loved the background music too could have been a bit louder for me lol...wish we lived nearer and I hope the landlords can ride the present situation out.

Quaint place - a medieval tower (was originally a fortified residence of the local priest) with the well stocked bar on the ground floor and seating on upper floors - take care not to spill the drinks climbing the steep stone steps. Outside barrel tables on a pedestrian street too. Staff very friendly - nice place for a beer and a bit of history.

Visited Corbridge and found this lovely quirky pub . Due to COVID-19 the poor bar lady was stuck behind a series of screens . The real ale and cider is delicious . They have a space outside where we sat with our dogs . However there is quirky seating upstairs not to be missed . I’m sure this place is also a delight on a summers evening , with all the outdoor lighting. Not sure if upstairs is dog friendly. Better than the Black Bull who took one look at dogs and waved us away .
