The first room we were given was small and tired and right next to the roof terrace, which given we’d specifically requested a quiet room was disappointing. The safe had been left locked by the previous occupier and apparently couldn’t be re-opened (??) Additionally the room was small and rather tired and so following a short conversation with the receptionist we were offered a larger and altogether more satisfactory room at the other end of the corridor. Bizarrely though this room also had a problem with its safe in that it didn’t have an operator panel/keypad (see photo), although following further discussions with the receptionist we were given a key which did allow us to use this safe. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was a relatively sorry affair although food choice for dinner was reasonable and the quality OK.
The swimming pool was literally over the road (accessed via a pedestrian underpass). The pool is very large and the location nice enough and there was a bar area associated. The really disappointing thing about this ‘pool complex’ though was that it closed at around 19:00 every night (we stayed mid-week).
Large free car park was convenient and the staff mostly pleasant. More
