After reading other reviews prior to coming here, must admit some reluctancy on the place on arrival. A feeling immediately cancelled by the heartwarming staff by setting foot on the jetty and being welcomed by Onal and Ida with fried bananas.
Beautifully located with picture perfect views of the sunset, this warm, friendly and very well designed place was the perfect getaway from the ratrace: disconnected from internet, we really had time standing still for us for the 9 days we stayed.
When I'm diving I always want to make sure about safety issues and very clearly management took earlier issues mentioned in some reviews very seriously. All local dm were very strict in their briefings; depth, bottom time and surface time were very professionally monitored and respected. Air was fresh, no headaches whatsoever, equipment well maintained, oxygen on all boats, etc...
In the resort, fantastic crew do lots of effort to keep the place clean, food was just amazing (very varied!) and are always ready to help with everything. There's even a (free) pool table in the restaurant area (still wonder how it got there ).
Manager Lina can also arrange about everything for you, at very reasonable rates (like plane tickets etc...). Comes in very handy as there is no internet...
Also like to mention my wife had a nasty fall during our stay with dislocated finger and shoulder as a result, the manager arranged within half an hour a speed boat to Ampana for us, personally came along with us to hospital to translate for us and arranged an overnight stay. She even had a plan ready to fly us out of Sulawesi if some kind of surgery would be necessary... in the end we were lucky and there was just dislocation and no major problems/fractures, so we could continue our stay with them, but still wonder just how many of the Togean resorts are able to offer this kind of service...
