I found this Hotel by chance whilst travelling through France on my motorcycle.
I was well received by the gentleman who spoke excellent English and a great sense of humour.
The hotel is ideally situated in the middle of the village and close to all amenities (if you can find any that are open)
The rooms are squeaky clean and all in good order. It has that old charm that French buildings of this type have. Not a bad place to stay if you are passing by...
Also, free wifi.

We spent 3 nights here in one of the room called 'British', Very Warm Welcome from the couple which makes us feel like home. We enjoy every second of our time there. The restaurant served daily breakfast (change everyday) , The restaurant menu is very affordable with super warm service from Angeline, This place left us such a great memoir that we won't forget. We will definitely recommended to all our friends !

Charming small hotel on a quiet square very near to the ancient chateau. We came here on bikes two years ago and again, on our return visit, we forgot that they close in the afternoon until 17:30, which can be inconvenient after a long cycle trip. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a small double bedroom with large bathroom. All very clean and pleasantly decorated. The towels were almost threadbare, and we were only given one towel each, which felt like a false economy. The restaurant was very good, food and presentation excellent. Breakfast basic but OK. Recommended.

There isn't a lot going on in the town itself, but Villandraut is a perfect base for touring the Grave and Sauterne wine regions. The hotel is very comfortable, and you will not find a more personable host in all of France than Ronan Talbot. Dinner is well worth a detour here if you get within 20km of the restaurant. We originally planned to dine the first night only, but changed our minds after the first night.
