we chose this hotel, as we wanted to visit the sorrento coast, but would like a beach. then we found this reasonable priced. they actually have a private beach, you can rent a umbrellone/lettine there. the restaurant turned up super, nice fish, pasta pizza. the host organised a trip around capri for us, and also helped in other ways. only bad thing is bringing the car there, the road is steep and narrow, so my northern european nerves were breaking.....

Lovely hotel located on a quiet beautiful beach at the bottom of the cliff with amazing views looking out at the sea. The service was great and all the staff were very friendly and polite. The beach wasn’t too busy so it was very peaceful and surrounded by friendly guests and a good atmosphere.

The hotel has amazing views that can be enjoyed from the rooms and really nice beach. The service was good and the staff were welcoming and friendly - they gave us great recommendations for nearby bars to go out to in the evenings! It was perfect for a two night stay as a school group.

Grazie mille al personale del hotel!

Beautiful location with a quiet beach an a couple restaurants nearby. Rooms were nice and clean.

A few detractions or could be bonuses depending on desires:

Hotel is situated at the base of the cliff so if your in a big tour bus you have to walk down the road with your bags. Traffic can be quite entertaining/scary on the way in as well. Hotel Towels are not allowed on the beach unless you pay extra. Be sure to dry off completely before re-entering hotel or be prepared to be.. told it’s impossible if you drip at all, somewhat understandable but still. Food service was good, they served an excellent chicken plate was a pasta based appetizer.

On the face of it this hotel is situated in a quiet cove with spectacular views. There are two levels of room: standard (orange walls) and superior. The latter is of a much higher standard, providing a wider number of plug sockets and with a decor that is more modern. It’s definitely worth upgrading to the superior level.

The standard rooms are used for school visits. This is one area where the hotel falls down. Be prepared to have your sleep disrupted by children that don’t respect they are sharing the space with other guests. Whilst this is primarily not the hotel’s fault, they should make it clear to the teachers accompanying these groups that they should ensure their students behave appropriately. Another downside is that if you have breakfast after the school children, the choice will be limited.

The breakfast is continental with croissants, ham, cheese, bread rolls, yoghurt, cereal and fruit (tinned variety). There is also a selection of tea or coffee as well as juices and water. We chose to eat out at Ticos down the hill so are unable to say anything about the evening meal, except that on Tuesdays there was no evening meal.

Rooms are cleaned to a very good standard. Be careful to turn shower heads away from the doors otherwise you’ll find flooding occurs. If you like a little more comfort with your toilet tissue, bring your own. TV channels are mostly news related, Italian or American dramas dubbed in Italian.

Buses into Sorrento can be boarded at the bottom of the hill in the harbour area. In this area there are also a number of options for eating. If you want to catch a train, the station is a 1.7km walk up hill if you’re feeling energetic. Alternatively the bus passes right outside Meta.

Checkout is very early: 10am. If you have a late flight and no car: get a bus to the train station, hop onto a train to Sorrento. To the right of the exit is a tour office that will look after your luggage for 4 euros until 6:30pm. You can also pick up a coach from this area to the airport (takes an hour and a half), 10 euros paid directly to the driver.
