Wonderful hotel in Santiago del Teide, on a human scale, and far away from the hustle and bustle of resorts along the coast!
The welcome is warm (with a glass of white sparkling wine). The staff is kind, helpful, smiley with a correct understanding of English (what's makes the communication easier!).
During our stay, we tried 2 different categories of rooms: Excellence and Standard.
• Excellence room: Very spacious (almost an appartment) with a king-size bed, bathrobes, slippers, Italian shower, sofa with day bed... A small anecdote: the toilet walls are frosted glass This room is separated from the rest of the hotel, and you feel like home. You also have a small garden salon in front of your room: top! A single problem: Some sewage odors, from time to time...
• Standard room: Double bed, large bathroom with double sinks (very convenient).
The breakfast is very good and you have the possibility to make your own fresh fruit juice. For dinner, you have a menu and you order at the table (same menu during our stay, but desserts are different each day).
In the town center nearby, you have a small grocery (not cheap, but helps out well), a tourist information centre, and several hike path starting points.
To conclude, I definitely recommand this hotel which stands out among the others in many ways with a good quality-price ratio.More
