Having recently moved to Western Tokyo from my native northwest United States (where microbrews abound), I was itching to find some good beer in my area. Gambrinus has been a lifesaver. I've been here three times now, and each time there is a great new beer to try. They keep about 12 beers on tap, with 2 being permanent (Sapporo and Bellevue Kriek). The other 10 rotate, and it seems to be 8 Japanese microbrews and 2 microbrews from other countries (so far it has seemed to be mostly California microbrews). The prices are a bit high, with the average pint going for over 1,000 yen. However, the Sapporo and a couple others are a little cheaper. The food selection is also quality and reasonably priced. Overall, I highly recommend it with the forewarning that the beers can be priced a bit high. For me, it's 100 percent worth it as a once a week destination.
