I went to "Piratas del toro al'dente" at Salinas, with my partner because we had a $19 "Gustazo" (Groupon) for $87 worth of food. First of all we had to wait like 45 minutes to be seated, because while we where waiting in line they stopped registering visitors to start a pirate show, they claimed to be amazing. First of all it wasn't amazing at all and also it wasn't safe, specially for children, since they play with fire. They were way too close to the customers waiting to be registered and kept getting closer to us with fire and swords. It just wasn't safe, children could have ran in between the guys fighting and get hurt.
After finally being seated we realized that they stoped registering clients during the show because they guys and girls that were part of the show are aso the amazing waitresses and waiters that "served" us. Thats why they where wearing dirty clothes and were sweaty.
We were seated but we had to wait like 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. We ordered two mofongos, one with churrasco and one with shrimp, a coca cola and a sprite.
Our drinks were served after just a few minutes but they didn't taste good. The food arrived like 15 minutes later. We looked at our plates and weren't impressed at all and were even less impressed after tasting our mofongos. The churrasco was overcooked, cold and dry, it was boiled, not barbecued, not grilled; BOILED. The shrimp didn't taste like much, just like the mofongos, it wasn't much food since the regular price of each mofongo is $30.99, ridiculous, there's no way they're worth that much, the mofongos are not even served with salad.
Since our food wasn't great we decided to ask for mayo-ketchup, well we asked our waitress, 10 minutes passed and she never came back. We ended up asking another employee who wasn't even a waiter for the mayo-ketchup, 10 minutes more we waited and nothing, then the employee came to our table and asked if we got it since he asked a waiter to send it to us, we both replied "Nope" and the guy joked about firing the waiter and finally HE had to get us the mayo-ketchup himself. After drowning our poor tasting food in the yummy mayonaisse and ketchup sauce, we ate the food.
We weren't happy about the food nor the service, and when we finally saw our waitress again we quickly asked for the bill. After getting our bill we realized that there is a 15% obligatory tip. What?! The food sucked and so did the service and we have to give a $19 tip. Since we didn't agree about the obligatory tip we asked the cashier to please call the supervisor. After like 8 minutes the supervisor showed up and explained to us and the customers behind us (they also weren't too happy and complained about the same stuff we did) the bill. She said that the tip also included all the entertainment at the restaurant. NO restaurant can force you to pay for tip. The manager said that she wasn't happy charging us that money but that she HAD to. Before leaving i decided to use the restroom. There was a big line, when I went in, the toilet was overflooded with feces and would not flush. So I left inmediately.
This is by far the worst restaurant in Puerto Rico.

My family invited me over to have lunch with them at this place, since I am with them for the holidays. After being seated we had to wait 15 minutes until someone came to ask us if we wanted something. Frappes tasted terrible. Appetizers were not bad, just badly presented with wilted lettuce. When the main course arrived it was just a big plate filled up with cold french fries and poorly cooked meat. We wanted out FAST. When paying, we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip, but the ticket already had a 15% service charge, that when asked about it, he just told us it was a tip but for everybody and that the waiter would only get about 50 cents out of that. Notice that the ticket was already over $100. We asked how could that be and he just said, "Is it that difficult to understand".
