This is a lovely place to visit especially during Springtime, where Sakura can be seen along the side of the river bank. There is a train that passes by, which makes this place very scenic. The food was fabulous, we had pasta and pizza. They have a free flow bar of dessert and appetizer.

Service crew were polite but speaks little English.

Excellent service from arrival to departure. Do not miss a meal by the river. To enjoy a coffee an ice cream or a meal is an ideal place. There are a lot of table and different places.

If you want to go to a restaurant for the settings, go to the Canal Cafe. Is an Italian restaurant with a basic Italian Menu, if you understand Japanese. The rest or practically everything is written in Japanese! The Pizzas, which by the way It is the only thing that is translated on the Menu, are good. Not very good written (they put the word stuzucchini, instead of stuzzichini) but don't give you a description of what is in there. In fact, the stuzzichini are small dishes served even before the antipasto. These were served on a big plate, consisting of fritella, vitello tonné, ratatouille, which by the ways is French, a small octopus salad (never served as salad by Italian standards), and a small slice of Parma ham. Not bad, only that is an ItalianJapanese dish. For Pasta I chose a thing that said "tomato base"... as they speak very little English, i couldn't understand what were they serving, in the end, it was an eggplant pasta with tomato sauce. The eggplant were huge pieces put on top of the dish, the tomato sauce was very good. The pizzas are OK, try the rucula and ham, very nice.
The desert is good and for Japanese tastes, very creamy.
In fact, I am not coming back, or if I do, it will be once again for the view. The servers were very nice, but didn't speak English, the Menu is written in Japanese, with two pages in English/Japanese with no description at all,of what they were serving.. not very helpful.

I only came here for desert, which was good. The main attraction for me was the setting. Which suggest peace and calm bang in the heart of the city. Expect BIG queues, and allocate at least an extra hour to get in.

Suitable location for a short stop during sightseeing. Nice quiet place to relax and enjoy nice view. I was visiting in December. I presume view must be perfect in cherry blossom season.
Cafe is offering decent and tasty Italian themed food. (Expression Italian style would be too strong for somebody familiar with real Italian food). Price not cheap, service not perfect, both acceptable.
