Dear Travelers, if you happen to be in Yotsuya Sanchome and you want to eat off the trodden path (that is, you've had enough Japanese food to last you for the rest of your trip), do try Thien Phuoc, run by Owner-Chef, Toran, who is an absolute sweetheart! Lunches are extremely reasonable at around 700 yen plus-minus, and includes the absolutely delicious chicken curry, with as much rice as you can handle, and fresh egg rolls (nama-harumaki, in Japanese). In the evening, they serve fried egg rolls that are absolutely yummy, green papaya salad to die for, and a seemingly harmless dish called beef & vegetables over rice, which we patrons suspect contains something that makes it addictive.
For dessert, try the Che, a coconut milk and tapioca concoction, which is also addictive, as well as their deep fried bananas with honey.
What I love about the food is that because there are so many vegetables to balance it out, I never feel overly stuffed.
