Having said the dining experience was great because of the ambiance, the food was just okay. We came to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Observatory for free and it was evening and hadn’t eaten yet. Rather than go look for a restaurant, we decided to eat here at Good View Tokyo restaurant. I didn’t like the fact that we had to pay a 500 Yen service charge just to sit, but we noticed the ambiance was pleasant and since we hadn’t paid to come up the observatory, we felt it was worth it. Thankfully the food prices were quite reasonable. They food was just okay but since it wasn’t very expensive, it was okay too. What you are paying for is the experience and if you can accept it, it is really a good value for the experience. I also didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t sit next to a window despite there being open spots near a window but they said it was reserved. We were there for over an hour and the spots were never claimed. Besides the fact that there were some things that bothered me about the restaurant the overall experience for my wife was worth it.
