We loved the Dormy Inn! It was our first experience with this chain.
Admittedly the rooms were a little dingy. But they were clean and for us the other amenities outweighed this aspect.
The location is fantastic. It's on the Sumida-gawa (Sumida river) directly across from Tokyo sky tree and Asahi beer hall. There's a walking path along the river and yakatabune rentals right below the hotel. You're also just blocks away from Senso-ji and Asakusa jinja, some of the most visited sites in Japan; and the kitchen ware streets (Kappabashi-dori). Asakusa is just a great district to wander around.
Get a river view room if you can. The window and door opened on to a small balcony. Our rooms had a mini-fridge; teapot and matcha; yukata & slippers for use in the hotel, and people totally wear these around.
It's best to get more than one room if you have more than two people.
There were so many services in this hotel we appreciated
- nightly free noodles (ramen in shoyu sauce). They were delicious! I gather this is offered at all hotels in the chain.
-onsen. No tattoos allowed but they'll give you patches to cover them. The baths have separate hours for men and women. They're on the top floor of the hotel and there's an indoor hot tub, cold tub, and sauna, plus an outdoor hot tub and benches to sit on and take in the view - watch you don't create your own view in return! ;-)
-foot bath - also on the top floor, this is outdoors and fun to sit and take in the view
-laundry machines available (washer and detergent were complimentary, dryer available for a cost)
