The room was maybe functional and new, but tiniest I've ever stayed in. The bathroom was absolutely small, I badly hit my head on the door whilst I sat on the toilet. We gave up showering or bathing in it and went to Janome-yu, a Japanese public bath, which was also tiny but comfy. If you have a suitcase, you may find it a struggle since there's enough space under the bed to put it, but technically no room to open it without putting it on the bed. The bed was too hard and uncomfy for me to sleep well and gave me back ache next morning. The bed sheets looked clean, but there were some long hairs which were obviously not mine on the bed sheet and bedside shelf.
Nice reception, good service, friendly stuff. Easy, enjoyable walk to Sensoji Temple and historic places, about five minutes. Free modest breakfast consisting merely of soft drink/water and pastry/ Inarizushi. Complimentary bottled water per night. Amazing Sumida river view from the rooftop.
