I stayed here in late July 2019. I was travelling by myself and looking for a hotel close to Ueno Station where I could spend the night. I booked a standard single room through the hotel's website about a week before arriving in Ueno. The room fit my needs perfectly; it was a simple, clean, small room with a bathroom, air conditioner, and small refrigerator. As I was only spending one night there and was outside most of the day, I really only needed a place to set my things down and take a shower. My only complaint is that the room smelled faintly of cigarettes; if you have a sensitivity to cigarette smoke, I would tell reception.
In terms of service, all of the staff I interacted with were kind and patient. I talked with two people at reception and both were able to help me in English. I also made a mistake with the room and they were very accommodating. All in all I had a very pleasant stay.

I stayed at Ueno Terminal Hotel for an overnight stay. Staff were courteous and check in was not a problem. Hotel can be a little tricky to find. I booked a room for one but got a room with two beds. I was happy with the extra space. I didn't think I purchased breakfast but they gave me a coupon when I checked in. Breakfast is at a restaurant in the hotel and is a very good traditional Japanese breakfast. Room furnishings were older but very functional. There were no instructions in room for free wifi. I understand you have to get a code for each device from front desk. I had pocket wifi so I didn't need to use the service. Room was spacious by Japanese standards. I would stay here again.

Stayed here twice during our trip to Tokyo. We were a family of five and our room had two single beds plus three futon which could be closed off by sliding doors. Stafff were very helpful and polite. There is a restaurant downstairs and bar. Lift only goes to the 6th floor and our rooms were on the 7th so you need to carry your bags up one floor. Rooms were serviced each day with clean towels and pjs were provided along with shampoo conditioner and body wash. Bathroom is very small. My only disappointment was the room had a smoking smell. The hotel is located within a four minute walk from Ueno station and Ueno Park. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. There is an overhead walkway or underground tunnel to get to the station. The station has a great supermarket and bakery. There is a family mart in the same street as the hotel.
