Excellent staff, good location, you only have to cross the street to go to the beach. Town centre is about 2km from the hotel, a not unpleasant walk, and good exercise...
The beach is quite nice and the water is great.
The bar on the beach which belongs to the hotel is not very great, expensive and rather poor quality. They don't even do not pasta.
The hotel itself is in a poor state. It is really not a four star, at best a reasonable three star. Investments are poorly needed. And I believe we had one of their best rooms.

PRO

Excellent location, ok beach facility.

Room size was ok except the bathroom

CON

Bathroom was jokingly tiny (we stayed in a family room (main room+an addirional room for our kid). The shower was so small so I could bot breathe eith the shower curtain closed!

The facility was old & dirty. There was an awful smell of humidity in the room.

They wanted to charge 20€ per day for beach entrance! Fortunately thy've waiced it afterwards.

Very expensive given the service you get.

As other reviewers have said this hotel is not 5 star. However, our room was clean and smelt beautiful, so much so that we commented on it when we came back to the room every day.

The beach was less than 30 seconds walk from our room door and is gorgeous, white sand and Aqua sea. The music played is really chilled out and perfect for the quiet September days we were there for.

What we didn't realise that even the beginning of September is very quiet and the other guests were all elderly. Still we had a fantastic time here and the staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you.

Have the special salad at the beach bar, it is amazing.

I booked this hotel because I wanted to bene close to the beach, basically you can just cross the road! The price was exactly the same of Masseria Corda do Lana which is one of the most beautiful places I've been, just 5 min drive from Porto Cesareo. Anyway the hotel is really out of date, a bit of Renato Pozzetto movies feeling! Yeah that was the 80s. To access the rooms of Conchiglia Azzurra you have to walk through an corridor which is basically a long terrace overlooking a swamp, so basically paradise for mosquitoes!! The room smelled, there was no tooth paste, no slippers, and when we called the reception to send a pair up, they said they don't have them! What kind of 5 star is this?? The breakfast was very disappointing too. Very poor! If I had spent 50 euros a night probably it would have been alright. But considering I paid 140 euros in June and the same room is like 250 in August!! Don't go there! The beach tough was really nice!!! The staff is really nice in Conchiglia Azzurra Beach (I think this was the name). The music is very good and relaxing, the sand white and very clean, the lido is pretty quiet in June, ideal if you want to relax. The water is crystal clear and no seaweed or stones could bene seen at all!! Much better than Punta Prosciutto!!

Porto Cesareo is a beautiful place. We ended at this hotel because it was the one available. From the reservation, the people at reception to the cleaning personel they have a very welcoming, helpful, and friendly treatment with the guests. However, the hotel is not nice. The rooms have little or no windows, in some cases the door serves like a window. The bathroom is tiny and very difficult to ventilate. The breakfast is below average. The beach is amazing!!! You almost forget everything else. (almost)
