“Wonderful villa in idyllic spot”
Reviewed 16 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

My husband and I holidayed here with our family (3 grown up 'children') and had a brilliant time. 3 bedrooms (2 double beds and 1 set of twins) one with air con and fans and the other two with just fans. Lovely outdoor sitting area overlooking the pool and hills. Fabulous morning views and amazing sunsets. Superb pool. Kitchen small and old fashioned but has everything you need. Happy not to pay for swanky coffee machines and state of the art hob and have the view instead. Local shop walkable but closed Sundays and 1-4pm other days. Big open all the time supermarket a short drive away. Pizza place (no frills but nice pizza) also walkable. Nice small town of St Angello close by with great history, cafes and ATM etc.(uphill walk 20mins but short drive). Pescara beaches are 20/30 mins away. You can pay for sunloungers etc but there are stretches of 'free' beach where you can set up your umbrella and mat! Park for free on the boulevard. Lots of places to eat on tap but shops further away. A car is a must really in order to visit the beach and some of the other hilltop towns but I could have stayed in the villa the entire time as it is so wonderful!
Lynette is the local contact and she is also wonderful. She is gradually updating the villa and improving the facilities which are quite old fashioned but we loved it; great showers, loads of towels, comfy beds and excellent cookware!
Our only problem was contact with the owner before we left the UK. Suggest when you go to make final payment you INSISTon the final details for key collection etc before paying.......
The Wifi was fine btw.

“Ideal for family vacation”
Reviewed 3 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

The house is perfect. Very well located in a hill overlooking two valleys.
Close to nice beaches. Car is a must.

The swimming pool is exceptionally good, as well the garden area. House is big.

I would recommend to add at least another air-conditioner in the second floor at least.
We managed to keep it fresh buying two fans from the local store.

“Thoroughly Enjoyed”
Reviewed 28 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Fabulous location but would recommend a car if you'd like to venture out, even though there's a local bar and shops. Very spacious house. Garage a great feature. The new added 3rd bedroom was a bonus. BBQ is fab. Pool is definitely the best feature although not heated as advertised. Beautifully lit at night. Stunning panoramic views. So peaceful. A few points raised with the local contact who was extremely attentive & helpful throughout our whole stay. Cleanliness was my main concern but this was rectified on request. The house is very homely and has everything you need, bordering on too much!!! Could do with some storage space in the bedrooms and kitchen as all cupboards and wardrobes have the owners things in. The air-conditioning as advertised only extends to the upstairs bedroom. Insect repellent highly recommended due to the countryside location, which is only to be expected. Unfortunately Wi-fi was down for our entire stay. Would definitely consider re-visiting.

“Spacious accommodation with lovely pool”

This is a really good place to stay with lots more space than it appears in the pictures. The pool is great and has a fantastic panoramic view, really good outside area. A few minor points if sorted out would have made it perfect..e.g. .Wifi was out of action when we stayed. One bedroom has air conditioning but would have been good to have that more widely available as it was extremely hot. Overall I would strongly recommend though.

“Wonderful Villa del Mare”

My wife and I spent 3 relaxing weeks at the Villa. It has everything you need - and more - in terms of facilities, (the dishwasher being a particular boon). The pool is superb and the views over the countryside towards the mountains absolutely stunning. The Abruzzo really is a very beautiful region.
We mainly self-catered with an excellent barbecue or kitchen cooker when the weather wasn't so good, which was extremely rare! There are however plenty of good, simple restaurants in the area and up in Citta Sant Angelo.
The Iper hypermarket about 10 minutes away by car provided for all needs culinary and otherwise, and the Coal mini-market about 400 metres from the house was very handy for smaller items.
Finally, a word of thanks to Tatiana, who answered all our queries promptly and efficiently and to Lynnette, on hand locally to provide help and advice.
Thank you for a great holiday!
