La Parolina has a Michelin star and as such, it is one of the few restaurants in the area. It is located in Trevinano, a very small town. The restaurant is in a beautiful, modern building on top of a hill with nice views. The service is very good and the food is amazing. We gave the chef free reign and the result was amazing. we had 7 courses (8 if you include the amuse), all of which were surprising, looked beautiful and tasted even better. We had fish dishes and meat dishes and wonderful, local wines. The desert was spectacular and was served on a map of Italy, with specialties from every region placed on the area it came from. A nice surprise. A fabulous night out!

We made a special trip here on the recommendation of friends. The restaurant is in the tiny town of Trevinano several kilometers beyond Acquapendente and a stone's throw form the place where the borders of Lazio, Umbria and Toscana meet. It is perched at the crest of a hill overlooking some beautiful mountain scenery. The dining room is comfortable and simply but pleasantly decorated. There is a terrace which I assume is also used in warmer weather. The menu is very imaginative but grounded in italian tradition. There are three tasting menus from which we selected the 7 course "menu sorpresa" There is also an a la carte menu. The feast was preceded with tiny palate teasers and continued with smaller portions of seven of the dishes from the regular menu. All were exceptional. Particularly notable was warm foie gras on a sauce of passion fruit. There were 2 pastas and a risotto. We ended with a small but tender chicken breast with mostarda of figs. Two excellent chocolate desserts were followed by
tiny sweets or pastries from all of the regions of Italy each appropriately placed on a plaque with the map of italy drawn on it. The cost per person was a very reasonable Euro 75. All in all, a wonderful experience, worth seeking out if you are in the area.

This restaurant came recommended to us and although the risotto with pumpkin and ginger was sensational, the overall impression left us in dubio. There were certainly highlights, but with a few minor changes it could have been a better experience as a whole. We felt that the dishes could have done with a bit more veg and the 7 courses came to quick as we were served our 7 dishes in the same time as the table next to us were served 4.

The villa we rented recommended Iside a Romano to provide chef services for our stay. It turned out to be an excellent choice Iside was professional, friendly and most of all, the meals she prepared were delicious. The presentation was beautiful and each course was carefully planned and prepared. She worked closely with us to accommodate special dietary needs and collaborate about what would best suit our group. At the end of each evening, the kitchen was cleaned and left spotless. I would highly recommend her services.

We had La Parolina catering for our wedding in Locanda in Tuscany, and the food was exceptional. I was so impressed by the professional service and the pride with which the food was presented and really wanted to thank them for a real Tuscan Feast! I have had so many compliments from the guests so please pass these on to the chef!
