Good holiday, no real problems with hotel. There are stairs but not really an issue once you get used to the layout. Best selling point for the hotel is the amazing view and sunsets.
Location for a walk outside is limited as theres not much around Taurito. The 20 min walk downhill to beach ok, the free beach bar was not a big place but had drinks, sandwiches, pasta, salad. You have to pay for sunbeds at all beaches on the island this one at 3.50 euros each.
We hired a car for one day, but parking on the island is a bit of a nightmare including the hotel where we had to leave it at the bottom of the hill.
Food is ok, not very hot, but what all inclusive buffet style is? Themed food nights hit and miss.
The nightly entertainment was better than I expected.
Self service works well for beer, wine and cava and softies.
We took an extension cable as read there was not a lot of sockets, this was invaluable for phones and tablets.
Wifi in main areas works well for the majority of the time definitely nothing in the room.
No milk or water in fridge. Take your own bottle or container and fill up at meal times.
The heated pool still very cool, only a quick swim, but refreshing when weather was good.
We booked a free shower room for our last day as you have to pay for late check out. This is a half hour slot to freshen up for the flight.
Overall a good holiday for a bit of winter sun and price but not sure we would revisit.

We stayed at the mogan princess January 11th. 18th weather was glorious we both had a good week dont believe all you read food was plentiful and was really good there was always something you liked
Drinks were available up until midnight. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool only negative point was it was cold in the pool even though it states it washeated did not feel like it. We went to the beach 3 times as the sun did not get around the hotel until later in the morning and took advantage of usinf the free coach back up to the hotel at 4.30
Was very good down the beach as you had the beach club which served you as much drink and food as you wanted the sangraia down at the beach club was lovely.i dont know why people here are moaning about the food being luke warm there is a microwave available if you want it
Evening entertainment was good we enjoyed it something different every night. Book a seat on the bus on a Friday for the market at mogan as the road is cut off the only other way there is a cab at 20 euros each way if you want to go fridays all other days is free. Now the negative points the lifts and the stairs what a pain we had to get 2 lifts and 3 lots of stairs to get to our room on the 4th floor and not being able to get out earlier in the evening to explore the area as there was not a lot in the area to do unless you wanted to pay for taxis to take you into surrounding areas if you find it hard to get around i would avoid this area as its not easy to get around. Next year we will go back to playa del ingles as there is more for us to do
Overall we had a great time room was clean and comfortable staff were very friendly and helpful dont listen to the negative views
Shame about the area really go there with a open mind

This was the first time we have been to this island in the canaries the first impression was very good from our quick check in the reception staff (Claudio) was very helpful to get to our room was a little bit of an adventure as we were on the top floor block which meant taking 3 lifts to get there , this is understandable as the hotel is built into the cliff and all rooms face the sea and have a balcony the views are brilliant there are also quite a few steps to take around the hotel as well as ramps as we arrived after evening dinner a cold dinner was provided (thank you) all the hotel staff are very nice and well trained and it all works like a well oiled machine everyone works hard just watch what happens during food service very slick, the food was very very good lots of choices the beverages wine beer spirts were plentiful there is also the beach club which again has free food and drink as this is an all inclusive hotel it’s worth visiting puerto de Morgan taxi around 18 euros each way or catch bus there are lots of shops there etc we had a lovely winter break the weather was great the hotel very nice please note that the sun does not get over to this side of the bay until 11.30 ish so the adult only pool area gets the sun later there are plenty of sun beds great sun sets enjoy!

Room tip: Choose a lower floor to avoid the lifts and lots of stairs

Nice hotel with excellent staff, from cleaners, waiters, bar staff and reception. All were very friendly, polite and very good at their jobs.
Food was ok, varied and good quality, but on most occasions it was at best only warm.
Hotel is built into the hillside and to get to the top floors you have to use a series of lifts and stairs. The rooms are a good size with balconies overlooking the bay and Mogan harbour. Though they do lack sound insulation and can get noisey into the night.
The hotel blurb quotes 212 rooms, but I think there must be about 380. The rooms are numbered ie 2210 & 2210B to give the impression there are fewer rooms. I think this is because the pool area is relatively small for the number of rooms.
The hotel does run a shuttle bus to the beach where there are additional sunbeds available. I would advise against reserving sunbeds before 10am as towels WILL be removed.
There are steps throughout the hotel and if mobility is an issue you may need to consider if this hotel is suitable.
Overall a nice hotel, which just about merits its 4 stars.

Room tip: If mobility is a problem ask for lower level rooms.

This 330 bedroom is one of many under a similar name - 2 others within view. As for any hotel on the island check the location before booking to be sure you are in a position that suits your needs. Some are near beaches some are a hike away as this one although a free hotel bus is available. Others are by busy roadsetc. This one is reasonably quiet although some noise echoes up the valley in the evening. Another drawback is the probable permanent closure of the direct road to Mogan. This results in a convoluted journey to ‘escape’. A free bus 15 minutes downhill walk away (tough walk when returning) will take you to a Playa del Cura from where there is a choice of longer distance buses to all the likely places. Global bus company has a good website but the critical road closure is not mentioned!
The plus points to us were the warm and friendly staff and the consideration in providing an admittedly minimal salad at 11pm after a late arrival. The view is outstanding although the sun “does not arrive” until about 1045 (in January). Sunsets as others have mentioned are wonderful views from rooms or a terrace area with bar attached.
Catering is evidently intended to cater for the many nationalities of the clients. For us this meant we did not particularly enjoy breakfast. A wide selection but the so called bacon was more like luncheon meat and scrambled eggs were solid. The toasters were long past ditching & needed 3+ pass through to make toast. Sausages were not pleasant but may have been loved by the Spanish, Germans or Poles - but I suspect not!
Lunch and dinner always included a good salad and excellent gazpacho but the hot food to us was bland and never more than lukewarm. Rather like upmarket school food but nothing special. Wine & beer dispensers dispensers readily available in the bars and dining room. Food was just acceptable but being cold and not always attractively presented was disappointing for a so called 4 * establishment.
And all buffet service involving queues and marauding masses trying to fill their plates.
However a very disappointing aspect to us was the prevalence of smoking. The Canaries throughout are clearly a haven for serious heavy smokers of all ages. While restaurant and main bar are non smoking you are at risk of being smoked out almost everywhere else. Even the semi enclosed & roofed outside eating/dining area allows smoking.
We are amazed no areas have been kept clear of smokers. You have been warned! To non smokers this is very unacceptable. Incredible that this should still be the permitted situation.
Outside and inside this busy hotel needs in depth refurbishment. It is kept clean but works need doing. Room access depending on your block is dependent on using a combinations of lifts which at busy times do not have adequate capacity. We got a lot of climbing in each day.
If you want quality drinks you need to pay more. Go and tonics were ok though!

Room tip: Avoid being next to a lift or bing in a block needing more than two lifts!
