Description: With all the laidback charm of a true Cotswolds country pub, at the Horse and Groom we pride ourselves on our friendly service, award-winning food and drink and sumptuous B&B accommodation in individually styled bedrooms. Located in the heart of Bourton on the Hill, here you can retreat for a leisurely meal, stop by for a drink and stay over for a relaxing break. Our light and airy bar is well stocked with real ales and wines and the beautifully restored dining room, with its log fire blazing in the winter makes a welcoming setting in which to enjoy our exquisite classic British cuisine with a modern twist.

The service was a bit lacklustre. The menu was limited, and the food itself not very appetising. Will not be going back.

Here's what you do. Take the marked footpath from Longborough to Bourton-on-the-Hill, past the fetching Sezincote manor house, and arrive at the Horse and Groom hungry and thirsty. We did just that and had a marvelous lunch. Not your standard pub fare here. They've kicked it up some notches. The menu combines old and new fare. We had a delicious lentil salad and local salmon, seated inside at a perfect table next to a window. Next time we'll try the spacious outdoor seating, but of course we had plenty of fresh air and sunshine on the walk. Everything on this excursion was perfect.

Was able to go out for a meal with friends for the fìrst time this year
Chose the Horse and Groom because of its easy access with crutches and one level dining area in which we were given a table as requested
We had an excellent meal served by very friendly attentive staff and given a table as requested close to the toilet facilities
Will gladly return

Welcoming family and dog friendly pub with great food and large portions. Serves food all day with a good choice to suite all.

This had changed owners and decor since 3 years ago when I was here. We found the staff excellent and they went out of their way to help us with a few things. We ate Fish and Chips twice and it was delicious and very fresh and hot!! One night we walked over just for dessert. Cocktails were very good as well. They served us special Gin and Tonic drinks. Can't wait to go back!!
