Wonderful location but getting a little tired.

The Mercure is well hidden with no Mercure signage on the main road so we missed it the first time we passed. It was once very elegant but now seems to be feeling it's age - but still comfortable. Staff were excellent as was the breakfast. We would have liked to try the restaurant but whilst there was a menu on display, it did not include prices for some reason. But there are other dining options nearby.

My family stayed at this hotel for two days and found the rooms to be very spacious with huge terraces and fabulous views of the ocean. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to service us. Unfortunately we stayed right before the dock was setup for the summer so we didn't get to enjoy sitting right on the water but I'm sure it would have been very relaxing. The food in the hotel restaurant is okay but not excellent and a little pricey. But very convenient when you don't want to walk or drive to a nearby restaurant. However, if you do want to go out to eat there are many good restaurants nearby with great seafood.

Room tip: Rooms on the Ground Floor are very large and have great views of the ocean.

The hotel is in a quiet place as far as i needed to be relaxed and far from the crowded and animated harbour of Porto S. Stefano that It is in 5 min drive. The room are big and really quiet, well cleaned and renewed. There are 2 breakfast room one is outside in a beautiful veranda sea view. The sea side is over the rock and is oresent a little wharf with stairs to go into the water. A sea service is granted with umbrellas and deckchairs provided by a lifeguars. This service is operative since half september, how anyway contact the reception before.

My husband and I started our holiday here. We did not expect too much based on the pictures but got a nice surprise when we got there. The staff was friendly, the room were clean and big and the little dock by the sea, owned by the hotel, was very nice to stay at during the day. We also met a friend before getting to the hotel and asked the hotel if he could stay on the sofabed in our room. This was no problem, he even got to stay for free (including breakfast) - very good service. It was about 20-30 minutes walk to the town which was a bit far in the heat but possible. There are free bus transfers to the city centre, but these does not pass by the hotel too often.

We stayed here in October, 2017. It's the off season because we called on our way in to town, and they had a room, which was lucky. This is a very nice hotel, and I can imagine that in the summer it's just beautiful here. We had a corner room right off the lobby. The patio wrapped all the way around our room and WAY over around to the right. I mean, you could almost have a wedding reception in this room! There are some things about this hotel that are a little dated, but the over the top friendly staff a the front desk makes up for this, By dated, I mean, there's only a tub with a shower hose, like the traditional bath. the beds could probably be a little more comfortable, but in the larger picture, these things only matter if you let them. The view from the deck is GORGEOUS. We asked how to get a taxi to/from town to get dinner. Apparently, there is only 1 taxi on the island. Literally, only 1 car. And in the off season he's not coming. Wanting to have some wine with dinner we decided to walk to town via the path. It was about a 20 minute walk, but the access was kind of scary. There's a small section where you have to walk (RUN) along the busy road to get to the path. I imagine that in the summer this is not as scary, but it was pitch black outside, so we used our cell phone flashlights to see. At one point we had to step up and lean tight against the side, just off the road since the cars could not see us. Once you get to the path it's OK. Most of the path is well lighted. Bottom line - the hotel is fabulous. Would stay again. Staff deserves special mention for being extra helpful and friendly.

Hotel is in a beautiful location, very quiet, to reach the beach should go down (and then go up) a lot of stairs, making the road to the beach very special.
Was a couple and upgraded to a room with balcony, was worth every dollar.
A stunning view of the beautiful.
    Bright room.
