Service is superb and portion is generous. I always have the Confit de Canard whenever I visit and the Hypocras (cinnamon sweet red wine) is also my favourite! It is located just beside the Chateau de Beynac which you can visit before having dinner at Le Donjon. At the top of the Chateau, you can watch the beautiful sunset. Le Donjon is a definitely must-visit french restaurant you must go-to if you visit Dordogne!

Ok we didnt realize the climb ( you can get there by car) but arriving in le Donjon a small place near the castle was a Nice surprise.
Inbedded in 70 ties rockmusic mee met quick efficiënt service with a little rocknroll touch.
We had a lovely Tuna for main course and some delicious rosé Provence to go with it. And you can eat a good steak here, and the have lovely ice desserts as well.
Most convincing for us the good adequate not tourist-trap -way of serving us . Very good indeed and worth the climb!

We had a great time in that charming location, close to the Beynac castle. Friendly and dynamic waiters and good dishes.

Very casual restaurant with pretty patio in rear right across from Beynac castle at top of hill. Lots of omelets and quiches and salads. Very nice local wine selection.
