Amazing place in the middle of the lake. That's how inle should be experienced. Nice rooms with a balcony . We always prefer the rooms at the back with mountain views and it also saves us from any noise of boats from the front line rooms. Good staff average food nice breakfast. But I guess if it's for the experience for a day or two I wouldn't mind sacrificing the delicious food Anywhere else. They do provide boat if you need.

Burmese way of doing business means to try and maximize the profit without providing customer service. The staff does not accommodate for occupancy. My family waited for almost 2h at check-in including our sick, elderly, and pregnant. Finally half my party left in the middle of the night across the dark lake instead of staying at this hotel.

Yes the location is paradise as I think Inle lake is one of the most wonderful places I have ever been, Our beautiful room on stilts was the end one straight over the lake and was basic but beautiful inside with a lovely balcony, and sitting watching the stunning sunsets was truely paradise.
However you are trapped, you cannot get onto land and obviously have to eat in their restaurant, food ok (not amazing) and drink their drinks (all very pricey) We were the only people there the first night , a liitle bizarre!
Still for two nights it was lovely, a very special experience, wouldnt have wanted to be there for longer. We had the most wonderful trip on the lake for a full day visiting loads of the villages, all on stilts, and floating gardens,
The one thing you need to know is that it is freezing at night and doesn't warm up until about mid day. We had to leave at 6.30am on our 3rd day and I wore a ski jacket and was still frozen !

The reviews don't do this place justice. We had an amazing stay for two nights in bungalow 102. This one has the best views and balcony looking onto the lake. It is isolated and you need to book a boat to travel to the villages and around, for at least 8000. We got take away and had early nights enjoying drinks, the view and the birds out on the lake. The staff were very helpful and we had absolutely no problems. Definitely a stay I will remember.

Well, this place is ok if either you are travelling with a group and stay one night and then get out, or if you want to be cut off from the town, or have to pay over $20 per journey to get out.
Its on the lake! That should be good. Its not!! It means that you have mosquitos, terrible restaurant, which you have to eat at in the evening because you cannot stay out later than 7.pm. No boats to bring you home!
The rooms are OK but nothing special. Basic bathroom. Noisy machines going all night.
I need to warn you that the details on hotels.com are completly incorrect. The address and map are wrong. It is shown as being in Nyaungshwe. Our driver was very confused. It is the address of a hotel called Paradise hotel, which may or may not be conected to this one.
Also the tripadvisor reviews that are linked from hotels.com are not for this hotel but for Paradise Hotel. I read them and decided it sounded great!! When we had to get in a boat, travel 20 mins and then pay $12 just to get there, i began to smeall a rat! Something was not right. We are at the wrong hotel, or at least not the one i was led to belive. The staff here know of this confusion but have done nothing. So far they have not been helpful. We shall see!
We feel trapped in a boring floating leper colony that we cant get off.
I advise you NOT to book this place.
Also - wifi is terrible, unusable in the room and very very slow in the lobby. Various things which you are promised on the web site, eg bathrobes, are missing. I would say determined misrepresentation.
We plan to escape tomorrow. Ssshh dont tell them! They may try to stop us!
Seriously, dont come here. Its not romantic, its terrible.

Room Tip: Dont come here and dont choose any room
