Fire alarm went off twice in the night, no apologies despite complaining knocked of only car park. Tried to justify saying it’s important would not accept thier problem. Very noisy room could hear the couple next door having fun till 2am then fire alarms at 4 and 4.30 am

We apologize for the fire alarm. Some people do not respect the strict rules of non-smoking rooms. When there is a problem with the noise of your roommates, we must immediately report it so that we can act quickly and for you.

Dreadful. Aircon didn't work properly - hot and sticky room.
Lots of loud music from the local bars heavy bass. No sleep had.
No one could help with the aircon issue.

The manager was not available at check out and the staff insisted they couldn't let us leave without paying even though we wanted to complain before settling the bill. We took the managers email address and sent an email but no response received.
Avoid this hotel and area if you have a choice. Impossible to even complain to the Mercure chain/ head office as the webform doesn't work. After this customer service experience I will not be booking a Mercure hotel again. Lesson learnt.

The hotel itself is surrounded on one side by the busy hotel carpark (which is not secure), two sides by a busy road, and one side by industrial port sea view. There is however nothing to do in the town centre and even the receptionist recommended we eat at the hotel as no good restaurants nearby. If you are looking for a stopover hotel on the way to somewhere else. I would say try a different town/village i.e not Toulon La Seyne Sur Mer. It is not picturesque, and not the kind of place you'd want to spend any time. Industrial area. I don't know who wrote the good reviews.... bad experience from my perspective!

Room tip: If you absolutely have to stay because you haven't got a choice then book a premium room overlooking the pool.

NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! It’s simply inhumane. We had to open the balcony doors in order to be able to breath and mosquitos devoured us at night. My little one was bitten everywhere. Had to go to a pharmacy at 5AM. With the heat the whole hotel smells disgusting. I’ve truly have never stayed in such a horrible place. And the receptionist couldn’t care less. Never will stay in this hotel again.

This hotel is now being marketed by the Accor Group so expect changes soon. It's a great location for watching the quai side activities and ideal for catching the cheap Mistral water bus into Toulon. Also for visiting the disused railway bridge ( now vertical) colourfully illuminated at night. We had lovely room, great balconies. Bottleneck queues at Reception, though helful when you get there. Didn't have breakfast - too expensive. No English speaking TV channels. First approach to building is badly signed & disappointing with ashtrays, dustbins & dead plants though. This corner needs a bit of tlc from the new owners.

Nice modern building, well equipped, very well designed. But noisy : the windows are not sufficient to protect from traffic. Parking space very expensive during low season.
Receptionist awful : no welcome at arrival, continues her own work and makes you wait, not familiar with Booking, nor Visa (!!).
Rest of the team ok, especially breakfast and cleaning.
