Just fancied an Indian meal after 3 weeks in Laos. We are in Don Khon (4000 Islands, Laos) . Surprised to discover that there was an Indian restaurant in the neighbouring island. The 40 minutes walk through lovely villages and forest was worth it. Spicy authentic Indian dishes satisfied the craving. Service good. Ambiance basic but it is in a tiny village on a tiny island in Laos! Restaurant filled up by the time we left for the walk back in darkness ) no tuk-tuk! Couldn’t have got back without the “Apple” Torch!
Thank you
We staying 50 days on dondet (lockdown).we spend (40 days) every night here sunset and dinner all nights.the portions were absolutely huge!well worth the price for sure. The food is delicious. We tried a variety of things.we tried all veg and non veg Curry both were really yummy and good value for money. The kitchen is really good. To be honest the servie isn't great as the Lady serving doesn't really Care that much for his customers.you have to spend at least one sunset here during your time on Dondet. And the view for the sunset is amazing. Would definitely recommend. I love Hathim Restaurant.
thank you so much for your wonderful review.the lady(she's don't know English)just 2 days employee only.she is gone.thank you so much for your big support for my restaurant .do you have safely reached your country? thank God. thanks for your recommendation.
Amazing Indian veggie food! Got a thali twice here as it was so good, completely authentic tasting (they go to India for some of their ingredients) such a lovely friendly woman running the place, great sized portions, I was so thrilled with everything
Thank you so much mam
Having read and heard so many positive reviews, having also lived in India myself and after seeing that the owner and cooks are Indian, I thought this would finally be the place.
I order chicken jalfrezi - garlic, chopped chillies, chopped tomatoes, sugar, chicken and salt in a pan. Steem it and go.
What I was given was a joke - loads of cabbage (barely used in Indian cuisine), 4 pieces of chicken, kidney beans, soy sprouts and tasteless green chilli.
The garlic naan was undercooked.
The pineapple juice was 95% water (quite common in Laos).
Check the photos - the first one is what chicken jalfrezi should look like. The second one is what I was given.
You have mistakenly given the wrong criticism and photo to my restaurant This is not my restaurant food .So record your criticism on the right Restaurant.
