This hotel is well situated, agreeable staffed, and spotlessly clean. It’s by no means fancy, but the bed was comfotable, and the shower water was hot. Flat screen tvs, parking available. The only two disappointments were the fact that they do not supply bottled water (very odd in Mexico), although the do sell bottles in the lobby; and the fact that the internet was effectively worthless. But hey, for twenty bucks a night, what do you want? I would gladly stay here again

Hotel del Rio is perfect for people that want to have a simple and clean place to stay to visit the city of Orizaba. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed as soon as we arrived and we could see they truly enjoy making the visitors feel at home. The rooms are bright and Internet is fast. I recommended it very much, especially for the price.

Prices are based on bed count - one single bed 300 pesos to 2 matrimoniales 520 pesos. Our room overlooked the river and was very bright with a balcony, others can be dark and close. No drinking water in the rooms, very unusual, but otherwise everything was fine. Wifi is iffy. The restaurant and desk staff helped us open or bottle of wine with the aid of Wikihow - no corkscrew to be found. To our dismay the restaurant does not open for breakfast, so we went into town, where after some searching we found another hotel that served breakfast. Restaurants are few and far between in Orizaba.

Very good price,$300 a night for a single room.Room was very clean and freshly painted.Hot water a plenty in the shower.Good location close to downtown. On the downside their is some sort of zoo next door with screaching birds a plenty, but they shut up before bedtime.Cash only accepted.Bed was like sleeping on a drum but in Mexico that is to be expected. No need for a/c in summer or a heater in winter in this part of the country.I recommend this hotel.

We stayed at 'Hotel del Rio' for one night. The hotel is located approximately 500m from the central square (Zocalo). The center of the city is very nice for a walk, some streets are even car-free. The hotel facilities are very basic, but considering the price (around 20USD per night for two people) it is very good value for the price.

Beware of the fact that the hotel does NOT ACCEPT credit/debit cards, you should pay cash.
