My husband and I live close and have been to La Locanda del Bere many times - it really is touch and go. The only thing that seems to be consistently excellent is the antipasti. The primi (pasta dishes) always come out too al dente for our liking, especially the thicker parts of the pasta that they fold by hand (ravioli, etc.). The wine list is great, but there have been at least two times that we've ordered wine off of the list only to be told they were out - this was interesting that given a trip to the bathroom downstairs we saw exactly the wines we asked for in their cellar stock. Wonderful, intimate atmosphere, but a very small place and tables are close together. If it's fully booked, it can get loud. Service is wonderful, as is the staff. It would be 4 stars (circles) if the primi dishes were consistent. We will definitely go back again as decent restaurants in the area are lacking.
