Popped in for an early lunch with family. staff were welcoming, atmosphere good and food was just as much. I had the chicken and mozzarella burger which was cooked perfectly and put together well. Dessert was sundaes (not for me though!) they were very tasty and great value for money. Our only gripe however, would be the flavouring of the beef burger. It was overpoweringly seasoned with herbs and seemed to fall apart when eating. A bit less seasoning would have been ideal we all agreed, though it was eaten. All in all we left very satisfied and will be returning soon, especially for the newly opened shop!

We had a Sunday lunch at the Penruddocke after a recommendation from a friend and it didn't disappoint. It has a separate dining room if you don't wish to sit in the pub area which we didn't. We had an excellent Sunday roast and sweet and we shall be returning!

Stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting stone henge. Our two dogs were made welcome. The food was nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Would stay here again if passing through.

A fabulous stay and made us want to stay longer. We were made to feel very welcome, the room was great, bed very comfortable and the food was just plain delicious. What a fantastic find this place truly was.

Room Tip: Even facing the road, the place was really quiet - No 4

First visit to this Hotel on a Tuesday lunchtime, so it was quiet, very quiet. Despite this the welcome was warm and cordial. Nicely furnished with comfortable tables. the menu is "pub-ish" but the quality and presentation of the food was exceptionally good. Sausages were beautifully cooked and served with a tasty mash and onions. Gammon steak was generous and large. Cheese and biscuits is what you get. 3 cheeses and plenty of biscuits with butter. With no celery grapes apple or other fancy bits. Cheese is what is wanted and cheese is what you get at a very reasonable price. Congratulations on the bitter,King and Barnes at its best. I would like to be a regulars but 80 miles is too far!
