Description: Red Tomato is a European style restaurant that brings Mediterranean Cuisine in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Originally a small cafe in Langkawi, Red Tomato has grown and developed into the loved restaurant we know it as now. It doesn’t stop there though, we are excited to say as we are also opening in Kuala Lumpur. Try our delicious pizza, pasta or grill dishes that can also be served as gluten free options; we also have some vegetarian dishes to cater for those who choose plant based diets. We hope everyone will be able to enjoy a meal here at Red Tomato as afterall it's where travellers and friends meet and eat...

“Best restaurant in Langkawi yet!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 February 2012

Had my New Years' Eve dinner at Red Tomato with a bunch of friends. We couldn't have chosen a better place to end our year in! The food was superbly delicious.. we ate like weighing scales didn't exist! And to top the mouth-watering food, the warm & friendly attitude of the owners really brightened our already bright holiday! Henceforth, every trip to Langkawi will definitely include a meal or two (or five) at Red Tomato!

“I moan the passing of Red Tomato”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2012

When I first discovered Red Tomato 12 years ago....I couldn't stop raving about it...it was by far the best Italian I've tasted..ever and their idea of all day breakfast...absolutely brilliant for holiday makers. But sad to say, just last July 2011, when I went to it's newest location...I was not impressed, I missed the lovely coolness of the dappled trees, where sunlight filtered through the leaves and you sat on an odd assortment of chairs or benches, which ever being handietst, and the slightly wonky tables. Where the smell of fresh coffee, bread and frying bacon assailed your senses. Now it's a two side by side shop lots, basic, standardized no character chairs and tables, by the side of the main road, where cars and traffic whizz by and flies...yuck! Even the food isn't the same....no no no....I'm not a happy camper at all.....

“Late breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2012

Our last day on the island, and after packing we needed food, so we stopped here, for late breakfast, i had the omelette with potatoes and mushroom and a pineapple juice or two, the food was nice and enjoyable and the serving was the right size, and well priced, the interior is nice with interesting art pieces all over the place. It is inviting and out of the sun although there is an outdoor section as well. the place is clean and the wait staff are attentive.

“Homemade food away from home”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 February 2012

I know the previous location very well, and can say the new location is just as nice with the same personal creative touch. The "home-made" European food is delicious and at a reasonable price. A comfortable place to easily spend a couple of hours or even more!

“Great Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2012

We used the old restaurant on our previous visit but I'm happy to report that all is well in the new venue. Tanya still makes her own bread which is great and the food is of a very high standard.
