This is a very nice place to visit, a hole in mountain with a lake on it! Nice to go with friends and family!

Pair the sinkhole with a visit to Wadi Al Abreieen. We left Muscat early and it took just under two hours to get to the Wadi. Have a swim there and then head off to the sinkhole. Drive back from the sinkhole and at the school turn right, follow the dirt road until you get to the highway. From there follow the signs to Hawiyat Najm park.
The sinkhole is beautiful and refreshing to swim in.
You can reach so easy by car and GPS.. easy to find the location. There are some stairs that can give some pain in the.. but when you will reach there you will see a beautiful blue colored sea. The problem is that is very crowded uh so you can spend too much time there for contemplating or else. But you should check it especially because is in the way to Wadi Shab.
My first time to visit this wonderful place in the last 10 years living in Oman!!! It was really so amazing! (I would have gone in this beautiful creation on my 1st year)
I went there in the middle of May 2017 with my friends - got lost finding where the location was, passedby Fins Beach, dipped in the cold water of Bimmah and experienced "doctor fish" tickling our feet and removing out hard-worked callous.
I would recommend this to visit on end of winter where you can still visit other touristic spots nearby like Wadi Shab, Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Daiqah.
Bring your cooked food because there are few restaurants readily available.
This was such a beautiful experience, it was so relaxing. It's quite easy to get to if you have a car and when we went there weren't many people there at all. It's a beautiful aqua colour that you can float around in, and jump off the rocks into the water too which was fun. Also, stand in a spot for long enough and you can get those dead skin eating fish having a go at your feet. Feels so weird but your feet feel great afterwards!
