My wife and I stopped at this gem in the middle of nowhere while travelling from Muscat to do turtle watching. The steps down are quite steep and may need a stop or two going down or up. The water is lovely and clear and the little fish nibble at you feet and gently remove the dead skin.

Visited here with friends, park up and head on through the park until you reach the entrance on the sinkhole (can't miss it) breathtaking natural area with steps into the sinkhole. I wore a bikini but most people covered up shorts and t shirt in the water (totally your preference) we arrived here after lunch and not too busy. Can climb up rock area next to rope attached to wall and jump off. Great place. Started to get just around 2pm when we were leaving. Would recommend as could spend half a day here for free and nice beaches around the area for afterwards.

Would advicd taking a picnic or snacks as not much around in terms or restaurants cafes if starting to feel hungry.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived in the car park & could only see arid land & wandering goats. But walk a few minutes past the gate, a toilet / wash area & you reached the walled edge of the huge sink hole. There are manageable steps all the way to the bottom where there is a large rocky area for those wanting to stay dry or for people to leave their bags while they have a dip in the crystal clear water. On the other side, there is a rope tied to a ledge for the adventurous who want to dive from the side & we also saw a few guys dive in from the very top (which seemed brave / stupid given they hadn't been into the water to check the depth). The highlight were the little fishes that soon started nibbling the dead skin on your feet as soon as you stood still, why pay for such a thing when you can experience this natural beauty!

The area around the edge of the water is very stoney / rocky so you either need Omani feet or aqua shoes would be a nice luxury but a bit of pain is worth it!

What a gorgeous place to visit!!! It is a natural sink hole that now is the home of lots and lots of little fish who nibble your toes to bite off dead skin. They don't hurt but it does offer a very strange sensation. Both my husband and I said this was the most relaxed we had felt in a long time when we were here. Absolutely loved it!

I have been to a number of sinkholes but this one is the most beautiful as of now. It is almost 2 hours drive from Muscat. You can enjoy some cool dives and swimming if you wish to. 2-3 hours can be easily spent here.
