We attended the Northover for a wedding where the hotel was used exclusively by the wedding party. The team were very accommodating and helpful when we were on site. We were advised on check in that the bidet in our room was out of service, and the team were hugly appologetic but as we had no intention of using it this was fine for us.
We had requested a travel cot for our room, this was ready on arrival, with clean linen and even a baby bath towel provided.
The shower was hot and with good pressure, although the taps a little stiff, and the room had no bath which meant we were not able to bath our 6month old before bed. But again, not a huge problem.
I was very impressed with the sound proofing. We were in room 15, which is up some stairs and on a mezzanine floor - although the windows in both the bathroom and bedroom opened out near the main function room below very little sound carried to the room.
The one real negative was the room temperature - far too hot! We slept with all the windows open in December because the radiators would not turn down.
The food at the wedding was excellent credit to the staff- mass catering is hard, and everything I had was hot tasty and well cooked More
