We stayed in order to be near our daughter and family, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were up-graded to a junior suite, which was very generous in size. Bed comfortable, room quiet, and in the summer the patio outside would be lovely for an evening drink. Bathroom large but a little old-fashioned, with a moderate shower and a loo that needed a little persuasion to flush! But it was very clean, and these slight grumbles did not spoil our stay one jot. The evening meal was excellent (char-grilled swordfish was delicious), and the full English breakfast the next morning was one of the best we have ever had. It was beautifully cooked and presented, and instead of piling everything on the plate, there was one sausage, a rasher of bacon, grilled tomato, mushrooms and baked beans, and two fried eggs - all perfectly cooked. Real quality and perfectly sufficient quantity. Everyone we met there was welcoming and helpful. Will certainly stay there again. Plenty of parking, and but a couple of minutes off the A303.

Booked into this hotel for a two night stay. The hotel was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The village is quaint and near to Bridgewater and Langport. The baker' s in Martock is a must for a visit for freshly baked bread and especially for their cream cakes.

I recently stayed at the Hollies and was quite impressed with the friendly greeting from the Manager behind reception, to the large spacious and clean room to the exceptional food in the restaurant (I highly recommend the swordfish with peppercorn sauce). This hotel gets slot if business from ABP the company I work for but this does not mean you don't get the personal touch. All waiting staff polite, friendly and courteous. Having worked at senior levels in high rated hotels I can quite honestly recommend this hotel

I am staying here on a work trip and the hotel is in a lovely setting and the hotel itself is beautifully presented. Staff all very nice and helpful. Bar and restaurant is really nice and is great place to unwind. I would definitely come back again.

Chosen by chance due to its proximity to family nearby this was our first visit to The Hollies Hotel but we would happily return. We received a cottage upgrade from a two to three bed which meant a single room for my toddler in a cot. The cottages are just up the road from the main hotel and restaurant.

The whole house was lovely and clean with a very pretty garden and outside deck. The kitchen was well equipped and there is a farm shop nearby which sold everything we needed to get through a few days. Best of all, the cottage was cleaned daily, it was a wonderful touch and made it feel like a real holiday.

I wouldn't hesitate to return and also to recommend The Hollies Hotel.
