This unexpected gem has a lot of different asian food options on the menu- mostly thai and chinese, but some japanese and vietnamese also.

Good decor and atmosphere, good service and best of all great food. If you find yourself in Thurrock, give this a go- you will not be disappointed.

We have been using the oriental since it opened and have never been disappointed. The service is always personnel and good. The selection and quality of the food is excellant and the ambience in the restaurant is relaxed warm.We have celebrated family birthdays and anniversaries here and eating here is a family tradition now for our granddaughter. The takeaway menu is of the same standard as the restaurant,i usually have beef fillet cantonese style and can not believe the quality,a really great takeaway or eat in.Larry

Staying at the Premier inn round the corner. Had walked past a few times but it was hard to see how busy it was from outside. Decided to take a chance and was glad I did! Food excellent and reasonably priced. Service great. Staff friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Came here for dinner on Friday night, the restaurant wasn't busy, maybe 30 people in, but it seemed very under staffed. On more than one occasion we ordered drinks and we had to remind them as our drinks didn't arrive. Then when they did arrive they weren't what was ordered so had to send them back to be changed.
I think one of the waitresses was new to the role, she was lovely and polite but I'm guessing that she'd been thrown in at the deep end and didn't really know what was going on.
That aside, the food we had was absolutely stunning, we couldn't fault it at all.
We ordered drinks towards the end of the meal and waited a good 15 minutes for them. In the end we decided to cancel them. They served them to us anyway free of charge. We thought it was a lovely gesture and appreciated them doing this.
I've been here before and have always been impressed, I just think that they should put more staff on, especially if they are in the process of training new staff.

I have not been here for ages and completely forgot how good it is. We had the seafood starter for two which was excellent. One hot & sour soup which I love and the other was coconut and lemongrass with giant prawns which was even better.

For mains we shared the Oriental seafood noodles (crispy) plus a quarter duck. If it sounds too much for two - it is but was so good we ate it all and finished off with sorbet to share.

All this was washed down with a great bottle of wine. Perhaps this should not be a treat and become a regular thing.
