Description: The Old Mill in Killearn, formerly a weaving mill and now a characterful pub and restaurant within this charming 18th Century steading, complete with open fires, rustic touches and cosy snug. Our beer garden, offers a very relaxed alfresco dining option for both lunch and dinner, which is always a winner when the sun is shining. During more typical Scottish weather you can warm up by the open fire with a wee dram. Our menu offers the best of local Scottish produce, responsibly sourced, lovingly prepared and skillfully presented

Service was slow and unwelcoming, food was cold and underwhelming. Too expensive for what you get - would not recommend.

The staff were lovely and food was delicious. Unfortunately we had to wait 2 hours to receive this which with a 4 year old in tow was less than impressive. Other than this we had a lovely evening.

Have just been to Old Mill Killearn and had best ever fish & chips in a pub. This was our first visit but will definitely not be our last. Staff polite and attentive without being obtrusive. Covid guidelines well adhered to. Hope to see you again soon.

Visited this restaurant for the first time approximately two years ago and had the most fabulous Cullen Skink.
I was therefore looking very much forward to my visit a couple of weeks ago. I ordered Cullen Skink again, but what a disappointment; instead of being the creamy flavoursome soup bursting with freshness that I had had on my previous visit, this one tasted as if it had been watered down and had a peculiar "off" taste, served with a piece of stale bread.
As a result of this, I am very reluctant to return.

We arrived 10 minutes early after a 5 hour drive, had to go away and come back at the correct time. Understand with Covid ,but no explanation given. We we went to our table in a makeshift tent there was no one else in there. Atmosphere none existent.

Onto the service , in total to have 2 courses it took 2 hours 30, not in any rush but to wait over an hour for the 1st course was a little disappointing. When we questioned they said they had been having issues with the oven!!.

Shame really, we expected so much and received very little. Must say the food was very good
